couldn't be better.

good morning world!!

how was your weekend? mine was good, but not as restful as i would have liked. lol! that being said... it was all totally worth it...

i still stand in awe at the beauty that surrounds me and where i live. i'm one very lucky gal! of course there was knitting too... but it was seriously nice to take a breather, and get away from "it all"... i really needed this... thanks so much to jane richomond for showing me such beauty! this certainly won't be the last time!

as for the knitting front? ha. don't you worry. i've got some lovelies to share with you!! and i actually cast on something for me!!

but tell me, what are you up to this week? and how was your weekend? did you get a chance to take any "breathers"? i'd love to chat! xo

  1. Hi Rebecca!

I don't often get a chance to take a breather... but my two favourite ways to do that are:
    1. To knit :)
    2. Go for walks with my little boy. No destination plotted... Just step out the door and start walking. We usually end up on Goldstream, maybe stop for a coffee and a little snack and then head back home. We can usually be found skipping together down the street! :D

Anyhoo... I know I should be working on finishing my sweater but... I HAD to start my Rae scarf. And now I can't stop knitting it. :)

PLUS I went to The Beehive Wool Shop yesterday and found a Malabrigo sock yarn that I HAD to have. It's in a beautiful colourway called Zaramora. It has greys, lilacs, blues & greens... Sadly I only saw the one there. I could have asked if they had anymore but I was afraid they would have said yes. :D

    Have a great day!
    Enjoy the sun!

  2. Rebecca, that picture is stunning! It really is wonderful to be surrounded by such beauty!
It must feel great to get out, clear your head, maybe even get inspired, and come home to some knitting!

  3. My weekend was't restful, sadly, but I did work on my sweater!
I'm so excited for my really restful weekend ahead. I'm off with a girlfriend to scrap book (and knit) the weekend away! Meals are home cooked and we just have to show up to eat. How great is that? No responsibility to anyone but me. Ahhh.... Lovely to escape once in awhile. - deb

  4. I'm playing a bit of catchup ... being back at work really fills the day. Just had to say - this photo is beautiful!!! Haven't been able to knit much at all because of what we think is carpel tunnel in my wrist. Stinks!! But I love seeing your progress especially because you are so crazy fast :)

    1. how is it going, adjusting to being back at work? it's such a huge transition.... and that really sucks about the carpel tunnel! one thing i do know, is you don't want to mess with it.. i had occupational tendinitis years ago from playing the flute... and i had to just plain stop for a while... but the good thing is after a while, i was able to knit!! do you read any knitting books? i know of a good one if you're interested.. you know while, you wait to knit and in all of your "imaginary" free time.. what with work, baby, everything. lol... seriously though, i have a book! haha xoxoxo hope your wrists feel better SOON. xo
